Vacation Policy

  1. General
    1. The vacation year begins on the date of employment and benefits accrue from that date. Vacation time may not be accrued beyond one year. Employees have up to six months to use vacation time accrued during the preceding anniversary year.
    2. There are times during the school year, such as the beginning and end of each semester, commencement exercises, and homecoming, when department heads are authorized to restrict times when vacations may be taken in order to perform vital University functions.
  2. Vacation Eligibility Criteria:

All information below is shown in hours and is based on years of service. Full-time employees will still accrue 10, 15, or 20 days per year based on years of service. Permanent part-time 20-29 hours per week employees will still accrue 5, 7.5, or 10 days per year based on years of service.
